I have been tasked with installing VEN on Solaris 11.4, both LDOMs and Zones. All these are at 11.4 and the patches are relatively up to date (October Patch Set) - all the LDOMs and Zones are using PF, will I be able to get it running?

Please review the "VEN OS SUPPORT AND DEPENDENCIES" page, from our customer authenticated support portal, for a details related to OS support.

Have you had a chance to review the support matrix?

imageIt looks like you should be fine unless you have shared IP Zone, which isn't supported.

    Hi Katy,

I have reviewed the support matrix for the product, however I'm not really familiar with the product and was a little uncertain as there had been a previous attempt to install the product which had not gone well and had caused several outages.

Typically only the global zone of the Logical Domain has a shared IP, with all hosted zones being an exclusive IP - the verbal feed back was that installing the product in the global zone prevented access to any of the hosted zones within that global - so just checking was all.

Unfortunately the person doing the work is no longer available, so the information I have is second hand.

    Regards

    Dave
